CCIH Global Conference 2027: Steady in the Storm

June 21–24, 2027 | Maanzoni Lodge, Kenya

Co-hosted by CCIH and the Christian Health Association of Kenya

Save the dates and join Christian health leaders, practitioners, researchers, and partners from around the world for the 2027 CCIH Global Conference in Kenya.

At a time of profound change and uncertainty, many of us are being pulled in multiple directions. Internal and external pressures can challenge our sense of purpose, faith, and stability. As followers of Christ, how do we remain steady in the storm? How do we turn to Jesus and continue to serve with courage, wisdom, and hope?

The 2027 CCIH Global Conference, co-hosted by the Christian Health Association of Kenya, will explore how locally led solutions, strong leadership and governance, resilient health systems, and engaged communities can help us withstand uncertainty, resist harm, and contribute to healing and restoration.

Together, we will share experiences, challenges, research, and practical solutions that demonstrate what it means to remain steadfast in Christ while serving others.

Save the Dates

Registration is not yet open, but more information will be available in the coming months. Now is the time to save the dates, begin planning, and consider how you might contribute to the conversation.

Submit an Abstract

Abstract deadline: September 30, 2026

The call for abstracts is open.

Do you have a lesson learned, innovative practice, research finding, or experience that could benefit others working in Christian and global health?

We invite submissions from individuals who can contribute global perspectives, practical experience, innovative ideas, and thought-provoking insights that will enrich discussion and learning at the conference.

Abstracts should connect with the conference theme, Steady in the Storm, and may address one or more of the following areas:

  • Leadership & Governance: Building resilient organizations, strengthening leadership, navigating transition, and preparing for the future.
  • Community Engagement: Advancing locally led solutions, community ownership, sustainability, and resilience.
  • Health Systems: Strengthening accessible, inclusive, and resilient systems that can continue to serve amid crisis and uncertainty.
  • Youth: Equipping and engaging young people as leaders, innovators, and partners in health.

**Please Note: When completing the abstract form, you will need to complete basic bio data, theme (see above options), title, SMART objective, and a minimum 3-sentence description of your proposed presentation, and which format you are proposing to present in. It will be helpful to have answers to these questions ready before you begin this form.

  • Oral presentations (e.g., 10-minute PowerPoint or as part of a panel with other speakers)
  • Interviews (no PowerPoint, interviewed by moderator with other speakers on a specific topic)
  • Fishbowl conversations (you and 3 other people sit in a circle and have 5-minute opening remarks, followed by continuous audience interaction, and then closing remarks)
  • Skills-building workshops (concrete, hands-on, skills-building/training session where you are teaching people how to use a tool/apply a topic, etc.)
  • Poster presentations (You will need to create, print and bring a poster that you will need to stand by during a specific time period during the conference)

Submit your abstract and help shape the conversation in Kenya.

Guiding Scripture

“Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him, saying, ‘Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!’ He replied, ‘You of little faith, why are you so afraid?’ Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. The men were amazed and asked, ‘What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!’” — Matthew 8:23–27 (NIV)
