Evangelical Leaders Letters to Protect Global Health
CCIH joined leaders of evangelical medical missions, global health, and humanitarian organizations in signing on two letters (to the U.S. Administration and Congress) coordinated by the National Association of Evangelicals to raise concerns about potentially harmful restructuring of CDC’s role in PEPFAR implementation and delays in releasing already-appropriated global health funds. The letters advocate for faith-based inclusion in bilateral health agreements and that those agreements serve public health objectives, and are not conditioned on unrelated commercial or geopolitical concessions.
